Quantity… becomes ridiculous. It was not half but whole. The owner said it was the same size, but please see the other review posted last year. I have ordered Jaws pretty frequently. It became ridiculously small. Also taste was not good as before. Please check yourself rather than blaming and disregarding customer’s review

I visited JAWS Topokki Urbana inside H Mart and had a better experience than I expected. I’ve tried this chain before at another H Mart in Georgia and wasn’t impressed, so I came in a bit skeptical—but this location was noticeably better. I was mainly craving kimbap and decided to give it another shot. We ordered the Fried Tofu kimbap ($9.99) and JAWS topokki with ramen added (+$2.50, total $16.99 before tax). The total came out to just under $30 after tax. Starting with the kimbap—it was decent but not standout. I wouldn’t recommend it since you can barely taste the fried tofu (and don’t recommend the tuna from my prior experience). The main improvement I’d like to see is softer rice and seaweed, which would elevate it quite a bit. The topokki, however, was the highlight. The flavor was much better than what I’ve had at other locations. One important note: even the “mild” level is fairly spicy, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to heat. Adding ramen was a great choice and made the dish more filling. It’s essentially a one-person operation, so the wait was a bit longer than typical for a food stall, but still reasonable—about 15 minutes. Everything is served in to-go co

Food was good overall. I added sausages for $3, but only received 3 “pinky-toe-sized”pieces. Paying $3 for those tiny sausages felt overpriced and not worth it.

This was my first visit, and unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience. I asked, “do you have a set menu of tteokbokki and sausage?” and the staff responded, “no it’s not in the menu. We cannot make a menu just for you. It’s a franchise. We have more than 500 stores.” I was honestly surprised and shocked, as I was just asking a simple question. The response felt unnecessarily defensive and dismissive, which made the experience uncomfortable.

The food was decent (approved by my Korean friends!), but I couldn’t understand why everything had to be packed in to-go containers—even for dine-in orders. We weren’t informed about this until we arrived to pick up our food, which was disappointing. Serving in reusable bowls and plates would have been so much better, both for the environment and for photos. Another issue was the wait time. We were the first to order (with no one ahead of us), yet at least three customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. Overall, the food was good, but the experience could have been much better with some adjustments to service and sustainability.
